Job Description
Medpace is seeking a full-time Junior Software Engineer to join the Information Technology team. In this role, the engineer will focus on modernizing aging applications and working on administrative systems. With strong attention to detail and a passion for process ownership, this individual will help implement new technologies in a fast-growing organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a team where your work has a direct impact on the development of life-changing treatments and therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and document user requirements.
- Design, modify, develop, and support software applications.
- Participate in the software validation process through the development, review, and execution of test plans and cases.
- Create software applications by following the software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members regarding project development, tools, and procedures.
- Utilize skills in object-oriented programming (C#), databases (SQL), and web applications (ASP.NET).
- Potentially lead software development projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
- Experience with technologies such as C#, Angular, Webservices, GraphQL, Git, and relational databases.
- Experience with Entity Framework and Azure DevOps is advantageous.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software release management.
- Experience with modernizing systems to a cloud-based platform (Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills in English.
Skills And Experience
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and web development.
- Experience in working with cloud platforms, especially Azure.
- Knowledge of database management and software testing.
