Job Description
As an Associate Software Engineer at Micron Technology (JR61719), you will work closely with cross-functional teams across IT, Information Security, and Technology. You will contribute to driving impactful changes, ensuring infrastructure and software deployment changes are seamlessly executed. You will also engage in end-to-end testing, performance analysis, and proactive problem-solving to identify and drive opportunities for improvement. This role requires collaboration, documentation, and learning in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a focus on operational excellence and continuous innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT, Information Security, and Technology teams to implement and drive change.
- Analyze the potential impact of infrastructure and software deployment changes, considering upstream and downstream dependencies.
- Conduct end-to-end testing and performance analysis of real-time data applications, resolving issues and identifying new opportunities.
- Prepare and manage system and programming documentation, and obtain necessary approvals.
- Propose changes in system development and maintenance, and train users during conversion and system implementation processes.
- Support day-to-day operations, including the installation and configuration of tools and troubleshooting network and connectivity issues.
- Provide support for automation tools and handle critical alerts, following procedures and collaborating with TechOps when needed.
- Participate in project execution, adhering to deadlines while maintaining OLA and SLA agreements.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of data center and infrastructure components (servers, storage, networks, load balancers).
- Understanding of various operating systems, virtualization, networking, and firewall management.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Understanding of RDBMS, server infrastructure, or SaaS applications.
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell preferred).
- Understanding of basic networking concepts, OSI model, and network protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN.
Skills And Experience
- Strong potential for research, investigation, and structured problem-solving.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot system issues, with a good understanding of TCP/IP and network connectivity troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like HP NNMI, Cisco Prime, NetScout, and others.
- Basic understanding of switching, routing protocols, and network performance optimization.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible to work in a 24×7 rotational shift environment, with on-call weekend support.
